Carl A. Pinyerd, III, CPESC, CPSSc, CHMM of Thompson Engineering is certified by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) as a trainer for the FDEP Storm Water, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Inspector Training and Certification Program.  For a negotiable fee, Mr. Pinyerd teaches the two-day FDEP Certification Class upon request and offers CEUs to contractors and other students taking the class under his instruction. Mr. Pinyerd is listed by FDEP as a CEU Instructor for Contractors, designated for providing continuing education as required by the Construction Industry Licensing Board under the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation.

The FDEP program curriculum was developed to educate the inspector on proper installation, inspection and maintenance of Best Management Practices (BMPs) for use during and after construction to minimize erosion and sedimentation and to properly manage the quality and quantity of storm water runoff.  Although the training program is primarily directed toward inspectors and contractors, permit reviewers, public works personnel and engineers will also benefit from attending.

If you are planning a major construction project in the State of Florida, please contact us so that you can obtain this certification. To obtain more information or to request a class, please email us at info@thompsonengineering.com or call 251-666-2443 for more information.
