The Florida stormwater training program curriculum was developed to educate the inspector on proper installation, inspection and maintenance of Best Management Practices (BMPs) for use during and after construction to minimize erosion and sedimentation and to properly manage the quality and quantity of storm water runoff. Although the training program is primarily directed toward inspectors and contractors, permit reviewers, public works personnel and engineers will also benefit from attending.
Carl Pinyerd, CPESC, CPSSc, CHMM of Thompson Engineering is certified as a trainer for the FDEP Storm Water, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Inspector Training and Certification Program. Mr. Pinyerd teaches the two-day FDEP Certification Class upon request and offers CEUs to students taking the class under his instruction.
